General Overview

The complete version of QLab is called QLab Pro-another industry-standard cue-based multimedia playback system developed by Figure 53. It was created specifically to work with the theatre, live events, and performance design environments providing cue lists that manage audio, video, lighting and show control devices on a single, customisable workspace within macOS. Its Pro licence is an upgraded version of its free core functionality providing additional functionality: scripting (e.g. AppleScript), accurate timecode triggers, MIDI in/out, cue types (Arm, Disarm, Target, Devamp and Pause), network cues and others. All these extensions make QLab Pro a highly versatile system with a dynamic cueing capability and detailed show control required in the most demanding production settings.
QLab Pro fans added smooth media playback features (such as multi-channel audio routing, extensive video delivery (including custom geometry, masking, edge blending and multi-screen support) and strong lighting control (Art-Net or USB-DMX). This allows designers and technicians to create advanced multimedia productions- juggling with synchronized lighting, projections, audio and interactivity. Pro license also accesses collaborative workflow; this enables different users and departments to work in a single workspace-perfect when it comes to collaborating technical tables, assistants, and stage managers.
